Tender Details
The Reform Project includes deliverables across three initial Streams.
Stream One
Stream One is a comprehensive analysis of the pathways that young people aged 15-24 years in NSW undertake during senior secondary school (including vocational education) and post-school either VET, higher education or the workforce.
The comprehensive analysis in Stream One will:
a) determine the categories of labour market participation of people aged 25 in NSW, from full employment to not in the labour force
b) identify the education pathways that young people aged 15-24 years have undertaken to arrive at the categories in (a), in school and after school
c) disaggregate the pathways according to:
i.student characteristics (e.g. gender, geographic location, socio-economic status) and
ii.other factors (e.g. schooling sector, HSC pattern of study choices e.g. VET in Schools or two STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) subjects
d)identify the trends and issues that impact post-school labour market participation.
It is expected that this stream of work will comprise 70% of the initial Services.
Stream Two
Stream Twois an analysis of the factors that contribute to the identified pathways for young people in NSW from school into further education and employment. This should include indicators and characteristics of what constitutes ‘successful’ and ‘unsuccessful’ pathways.
Stream Three
Stream Three is a literature review of senior secondary school (including vocational education), post-school pathways and transitions, and the concept of ‘meaningful employment’ in select jurisdictions.
Further detail on the Streams of work will be provided to Proponents at RFP stage, including an indicative list of relevant stakeholders.
