Tender Details
The Western Sydney Parklands Plan of Management 2030 defines Tourism Hubs as “Tourism destinations based on a wide range of recreation, leisure, entertainment, education and nature-based uses and opportunities with associated facilities such as accommodation, exhibition spaces, conference centres and retail.” WSPT envisages that suitable types of development at Pikes Lane will be consistent with this definition and could include a short-term family holiday park. Retail should only be included to the extent that it is auxiliary to the tourism concept.
Pikes Lane offers a range of attractive benefits including:
-
Unique offering located in an established tourism precinct within 5 kilometres of Sydney Zoo, Raging Waters Sydney, Blacktown International Sportspark, Sydney Motorsports Park and Sydney Dragway.
-

-
Part of Australia’s largest urban parkland which attracted 4 million visitors in 2019 and boasts an average visitation growth rate of 10% per annum.
-
A catchment of over 2.3 million residents forecasted to grow to over 3 million by 2036.
