Tender Details
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is inviting either Aboriginal-owned businesses or an operator partnering with Aboriginal community or businesses to formally submit their interest in providing high-quality multi-day walking experiences and cultural activities, utilising walking tracks, camping and hut accommodation facilities along the Great Southern Walk within Kamay Botany Bay National Park, Royal National Park Illawarra Escarpment State Conservation Area.
The Great Southern Walk is set to become one of the world’s great multi-day walks, featuring dramatic coastal views, a range of stunning natural environments and opportunities to stay overnight in a national park, all within close proximity to the largest city in Australia, Sydney.
NPWS aims to deliver exceptional experiences to NSW national park visitors through the provision of quality facilities and services that provide a safe, enjoyable and inspiring connection to our natural and cultural environment.
As part of the NSW government’s $450 million investment in building new visitor experiences in national parks, NPWS is creating a spectacular new 67-kilometre walk from Kamay Botany Bay National Park at Kurnell, through Royal National Park to the Illawarra Escarpment. At four locations along the walk, NPWS is building low-impact camping platforms, hiker’s huts, camp kitchens and amenities for use by walkers.
