Sydney Metro is undertaking market engagement to support the NSW Government’s assessment for a potential station at Pyrmont as part of the Sydney Metro West project.
This is a first step toward supporting the NSW Government’s strategic options assessment for a potential station at Pyrmont.
Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project, transforming how we get around Sydney, the nation’s global city and its international gateway for business and tourism.
Sydney Metro West will connect Greater Parramatta with the Sydney central business district (CBD). Sydney Metro West will double the rail capacity between Parramatta and the Sydney CBD, with a travel time target between the two centres of about 20 minutes.
This market engagement process will provide Sydney Metro with initial market feedback, and supporting information, on the scope for any substantial financial and/or non-financial contribution (if any) from the private sector and/or commercial beneficiaries to consider in the case for a Pyrmont station.
Sydney Metro is looking to engage with potential private sector and/or commercial beneficiaries (including landowners; businesses; other private sector and/or commercial entities).
The engagement will comprise written submissions and one-on-one meetings with selected participants to seek feedback on key engagement topics.
The engagement process will commence in in August and is anticipated to continue through to September 2020.

Sydney Metro may request additional information about organisations to support their registration and ability to contribute.
Registration has been extended to close at 3pm 21 August 2020. Registrants will then be asked to provide a written submission to Sydney Metro by 5pm 28 August 2020.
