Forestry Corporation of NSW (Principal) intends to engage the services of a suitably experienced and competent contractor for the installation of lightning protection and earthing systems to bring these existing fire towers to an acceptable safe standard in compliance Australian Standards 1768:2007 and with reference to the recommendations in the attached specialist audit reports.
These works are critical in that they assist in Fire protection of FCNSW assets. The selected contractor must show experience, competence, and resources to carry out the works in the attached scope of works and audit and recommendation reports. The intention is to have all upgrade works set out completed by the Regions respective fire season. Upon completion of awarded works, the contractor must provide certification of works by a qualified person.
Works are to be in accordance to relevant standards (AS1768:2007) while adhering to the attached reports from Electrical Engineering Equipment Pty Ltd. The work period once possession of site is given and an agreed commence date is approved shall be 4 weeks. This may be extended at the discretion of the Superintendent while referencing any contractual obligations.

Locations are remote and 4wd vehicle may be required to gain access. It is important that the contractor resources are sufficient to carry out the required works. If any works is to be subcontracted, these works should be identified.

Conditions for Participation
The contractor shall provide all necessary labour, plant, equipment and safety apparatus to perform the full scope of works. All materials and workmanship shall comply with current relevant Australian Standards and manufacturers specifications.
The contractor must complete all the schedules including Schedule of rates, Schedule of proposed works and Schedule of Lump Sum Rates. The schedules must be appropriately signed by a person authorized to make an offer on behalf of the Contractor.
The contractor must supply documentation requested in the RFQ to satisfy the evaluation panel that they are able to complete and undertake these works to relevant standards and applicable codes. Reference must be made to the attached reports.
Estimated Timeframe for Delivery
Delivery from signing contract is 4 calendar weeks. EOT is permissible under specific conditions within the contract. Certification of works is the responsibility of the nominated contractor
