Bankstown Civic Tower - Office Kitchen Upgrades - T59-18

3.1 OBJECTIVES OF COUNCIL

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for the provision of kitchen upgrades and breakout areas at Bankstown Civic Tower. Works include demolition of existing kitchenettes and supply and install 8 new kitchenettes and break out area. The kitchenettes are located on levels 2, 3, 4 & 5 of Bankstown Civic Tower. There are two kitchenette on each floor and the works are to be staged so that each floor will have a functioning kitchenette at all times. Please note the second kitchenette on level 4 is an optional item and is subject to council approval.

Works generally consist of the list below but not limited to this list:-

(1) Remove and dispose of existing kitchenettes, floor coverings and nominated walls as per plans

(2) Disconnect all services for future reconnection to proposed kitchenette area

(3) Construct new kitchenettes including new stone benchtop, cupboard, acrylic splashback, sink, fittings and construction of new walls and ceiling bulkheads and painting.

(4) Removal of vinyl and carpet flooring at nominated kitchens and breakout areas as per plans. New vinyl flooring is by others.

(5) Carryout all required plumbing and electrical works. Provide compliance certificate upon completion.

(6) Remove and dispose of any existing kitchenette furniture

(7) Relocation of fire sprinklers (where required)

(8) Reinstall all fire equipment and compliant signage as per Australian Standards

(9) Provide dust control to all areas

DRAWINGS AND SPECIFICATIONS MUST BE REVIEWED WHEN PREPARING A TENDER FOR THESE WORKS.

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Council will conduct a compulsory briefing for potential Tenderers to be held as follows:

The briefing is compulsory, Council will not consider a Tender lodged by a Tenderer who fails to sign the attendance sheet at this briefing, or fails to ensure that a representative of the Tenderer signs the attendance sheet on its behalf.
