Tender Details
To inform and enhance design features of consumer protection measures under the National Consumer Protection Framework for Online Wagering, the NSW Government, on behalf of Gambling Research Australia (a national gambling research program partnership between Commonwealth, state and territory governments) is seeking tenders for the provision of two separate behavioural trials to test design features for two measures under the National Framework: Project Trial One - consistent gambling messaging (CGM) Project Trial Two - voluntary opt-out precommitment Project Trial One: CGM. Substantial trialing and testing is required to determine the most effective and appropriate features of the consistent gambling messaging measure under the National Framework. CGM refers to the display of messages which aim to encourage gamblers to become more aware of their gambling behaviours and decisions. The messaging should be engaging and effective to boost conscious decision-making among people who engage in online wagering. Project Trial two: increasing the uptake and effectiveness of voluntary opt-out pre-commitment. Substantial trialing and testing is required to determine how to increase the uptake of this National Framework measure. This measure will enable individuals to make informed choices about when and how much to wager based on a better understanding of their wagering activity. In this way, they could also reduce the harm from gambling without unduly reducing the benefits it can provide for individuals, businesses, communities and governments.
