Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service Pre-tender advice for the Refurbishment of Category 9 light fire appliances - RFT-10014781

On 5^th April 2018, the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will release a Request for Tender (tender_1475) to undertake a refurbishment program of 280 Category 9 light fire appliances in service across NSW.  Each appliance is a self-contained tray exchange unit that attaches to a modified Toyota Landcruiser cab chassis via a lock down mechanism and purpose build subframe.  Required works include logistics management of the refurbishment program, transportation of old units to repair facility, refurbishment of the appliance body and replacement of all major components, and delivery of each finished appliance to NPWS depots across the state.            

Tender release: Tender will be released via the NSW procurement portal https://tenders.nsw.gov.au on 5 April 2018.

Tender briefing and fire appliance display.

NPWS are providing tenderers the opportunity to participate in tender briefings and a fire appliance display. This event will be held in Coffs Harbour on the week commencing Monday 9^th April 2018, with a briefing session taking place at 11am. Following on from this NPWS will make available five current appliances for tenderers to inspect and make assessment in relation to the works required as outlined in the specification of works, and to ask questions of the project team. The inspections will be available 10am to 3pm on 9 – 13 April 2018.

Address will be advised once location is finalised, but will be no more than a 10 minute drive from Coffs Harbour Airport. Names of persons to attend the Tenderer briefing and display must be provided to the contact officer at least three working days prior to the date.
