VMF can bring consumers and farmers together by giving visitors a unique farming experience, while also creating agri-tourism revenue and improving the wider communities’ understanding of agriculture and the value of farmers.

The potential for the VMF platform as an agri-tourism platform is open to a commercial partner to explore given that in 2014 19.3 million domestic overnight visitors experienced regional NSW. These visitors injected over $9.4 billion into local economies.

The VMF website has 57 farms listed offering a range of experiences to customers. DPI is currently running a trial to market-test the VMF platform. A promotional campaign is being run through social media, Destination NSW and across networks to target city dwellers.

The platform currently consists of copyright material, a trademark, a domain name and a website created by DPI for this project - www.visitmyfarm.com.au.

We are looking for a commercial partner to take the VMF digital platform forward.
