Sydney Metro City & Southwest – Victoria Cross Integrated Station Development – Registration for Expression of Interest - TfNSW 2017/079

Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. A new standalone railway, this 21st century network will deliver 31 metro stations and 66 kilometres of new metro rail for Australia’s biggest city – revolutionising the way Sydney travels. Services start in 2019 using Sydney’s new generation of fully–automated metro trains.

Sydney Metro is comprised of two projects:

Sydney Metro Northwest – formerly the 36km North West Rail Link. This $8.3 billion project is now under construction and will open in the first half of 2019 with a metro train every four minutes in the peak. Tunnelling has finished and construction is progressing rapidly; and

Sydney Metro City & Southwest – a new 30km metro line extending metro rail from the end of Sydney Metro Northwest at Chatswood under Sydney Harbour, through new CBD stations and southwest to Bankstown. It is due to open in 2024 with the capacity to run a metro train every two minutes each way through the centre of Sydney.

This Invitation for Expression of Interest deals with the Victoria Cross Integrated Station Development package.

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking Expressions of Interest from development teams that share our vision of place making and creating an integrated development that builds on the local community's assets to transform and reposition North Sydney as a prime CBD location that is only 5 minutes to the heart of the city at Martin Place, and 3 minutes to Barangaroo.

This is a chance to build not just a station, but the opportunity to create a truly landmark development that showcases world’s best practice for transit orientated developments which promote people's health, and wellbeing and delivers a superior customer experience. TfNSW’s vision is to create intuitive, safe and efficient stations, activated and engaging precincts which truly reflect the government’s commitment to quality, design excellence, and place making.

The Victoria Cross Integrated Station Development will include:

• the integrated delivery of a modern and accessible metro station, including the design and construction of the metro station structural mechanical and electrical works.  Mining and excavation will be undertaken by others;

• high quality commercial development benefiting from seamless access to Victoria Cross Station that consist of a commercial office tower with approximate GFA of 60,000m2 and approximately 4,000m2 of retail area; and

• a public plaza creating much needed public amenity and space.

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria, and those who best meet the required criteria are invited to Tender (as tender type Pre-Qualified/Invited).

 To register Interested Parties must:

• return a copy of the completed Registration Form and the executed Confidentiality Deed Poll by email to TfNSW's nominated contact person at SydneyMetro.VictoriaCrossISD@transport.nsw.gov.au
  

• submit their response as two (2) files only. One file must contain the executed Confidentiality Deed Poll and the other the completed Registration Form with a statement of no more than one (1) page comprising a description of the company and outlining the role they anticipate undertaking in the ISD Works.
