TfNSW is committed to developing an aligned and integrated approach to Digital Engineering, through commencement of the Digital Engineering Framework Program.

The DEF Program will be delivered incrementally over two key stages:

• Stage 1: Develop framework and test on pilot projects to measure benefits and inform the investment case for the next stage (over approx. 2 years)

• Stage 2: Wide-scale implementation, to embed DEF throughout TfNSW Agencies and Operating Companies (timeframe TBD)

TfNSW is seeking establish the Digital Engineering Panel to facilitate efficient and cost-effective access to experts with Digital Engineering experience. The Digital Engineering Panel will initially provide specific roles to support delivery of two main functions:

a) Specialists to support delivery of the Digital Engineering Framework Program

1. Digital Engineering Workstream Specialist - Information Requirements

2. Digital Engineering Workstream Specialist - DES Standards and Objects Library

3. Digital Engineering Workstream Specialist - Processes and Procedures

4. Digital Engineering Workstream Specialist - Technology

5. Digital Engineering Workstream Specialist - People, Competency and Capability

b) Management of Project-Based Digital Engineering implementation

6. Digital Engineering Manager

7. Senior Digital Engineering Manager
