Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / Supply of NPWS Modular Vehicle Bridges - SR2156228412

The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) seeks to engage qualified manufacturers for the supply of NPWS modular vehicle bridges in kit form. The bridges have been designed for transport and installation in remote locations replacing old log bridges on NPWS roads and trails. They comprise precast concrete abutments and deck panels supported by steel girders with associated fasteners and fixings. The specification details two options for surface treatment of structural steelwork - galvanised and Inorganic zinc silicate coating. Most orders will be for galvanised structural steelwork as most of bridges identified for replacement are in coastal areas subject to frequent inundation by floodwaters and high exposure to weathering and corrosion. The bridges come in a range of sizes to suit span length and carrying capacity. A guard rail option has also been included.
