Tender Details

 

The Consultant must prepare an updated Operation Environmental Management Plan and submit it to the NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) for approval. The OEMP must meet the requirements stipulated by the DPE in the project approval Conditions of Consent, as modified by the Modification of Minister’s Approval.

 

The process is managed by the DPE and requires an understanding of the Guideline for the Preparation of Environmental Management Plans (DIPNR 2004). Preparation of the OEMP also requires specialist expertise in the various technical areas to be addressed, including hydrology, aquatic and terrestrial ecology, water quality, groundwater, geomorphology and socio-economics.

Conditions for Participation

The following mandatory requirements must be met in order for respondents to be eligible to tender for the work. Further details are provided below.

  • Respondents must be an appropriate legal entity;
  • Respondents must demonstrate that they have an effective Safety Management system;
  • The respondent must have prepared at least two (2) operation/construction environmental management plans, consistent with the Guideline for the Preparation of Environmental Management Plans (DIPNR 2004) or similar in the last 5 years;
  • The nominated team must include a floodplain hydrologist/ecologist with experience assessing ecological impacts (benefits and risks) of hydrological intervention on inland rivers and floodplains; and
  • Respondents must complete and submit all of the required forms and documents (see ‘Guide to Completion of a Compliant Tender’).

 

Estimated Timeframe for Delivery

The project is expected to be completed in August 2019.
