Tender Details
Infrastructure and Services is seeking to engage one or two Professional Services Contractor(s) to provide the Project Manager Resources for the Newcastle Light Rail (NLR) Project for a 12 month contract with the options of a further 12 month plus 6 month periods. The two roles are expected to be Newcastle based for the majority of the engagement period.
The key deliverables of the 2 x Project Manager role are:
- Manage the project delivery of the Newcastle Light Rail Project to the highest industy standards, on time and within budget;
- Provide, lead, control and co-ordinate the resources necessary to provide the Services;
- Project cost tracking and control;
- Update the Project plan;
- Regular reporting to the Principal; and
- Any other activities as instructed by the Principal.

Project Manager - Enabling works and Road Works
Minimum Requirement 1: Evidence that the Tenderer's key personnel has successfully managed road work projects in a CBD environment, valued at over AU$20,000,000 in the last 5 years, including road alteration and improvement works and intersection re-configuration.
Minimum Requirement 2:Relevant tertiary qualification in construction, engineering or project management.
Minimum Requirement 3: Evidence of a minimum of 10 years project management experience in delivering major urban linear infrastructure projects and rail projects.
Project Manager - Procurement and Delivery of the Fixed Infrastructure Contract
Minimum Requirement 1:Evidence that the Tenderer's key personnel has successfully managed a multi-disciplinary rail infrastructure project valued at over AU$40,000,000 in the last 5 years, involving the following techincal disciplines: track, civil and structural, HV and LV reticulation, substations, overhead wiring, communication and control systems.
Minimum Requirement 2: Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering or project management.
Minimum Requirement 3: Evidence of a minimum of 10 years project management experience in delivering major urban linear infrastructure projects and rail projects.
