Tender Details

Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Respondents for crushing and blending of concrete and asphalt at the Kelso WMC. 

Council currently receives approximately 9,000 tonnes of concrete and 4,000 tonnes of asphalt from works within the City. It is anticipated the contractor will be required to conduct crushing operations at Kelso on two occasions within a calendar year processing approximately 6,500 tonnes when on site

The Contractor will process the concrete and asphalt on site to produce a blended mix product meeting the standards of DGS 20 Class R1 as detailed in and generally in accordance with the IPWEA (NSW) Specification for supply of Recycled Material for Pavements, Earthworks and Drainage (Table 2).

Council may require the Contractor to produce an aggregate either 20mm minus or 40 – 70mm during crushing operations. The quantity required will be advised prior to the commencement of crusher operations.

The Contractor must also comply with all requirements of the EPA Recovered Aggregate Exemption 2014 to facilitate exemption from payment of the Waste Levy (Protection of the Environment Operations Act, Section 88)
