Tender Details
The NSW Government is delivering a New Intercity Fleet (NIF) to replace the trains carrying customers from Sydney to the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Blue Mountains and the South Coast.
A number of key infrastructure projects are being delivered by the NIF Infrastructure Delivery Team and it is critical to the success of the NIF Project that the projects and infrastructure are integrated with the existing Rail Network prior to the deployment of the new fleet of intercity trains. These projects include:
- Maintenance Facility at Kangy Angy;
- Route Clearance Works on the Blue Mountains Line;
- Commissioning and Stabling Facilities; and
- Station and Signalling Enabling Works across the intercity rail network.
This Senior Project Engineer role will be supporting the project team for the Stations and Signalling Enabling Works. The key aspects of this project include:
- Enabling Automatic Selective Door Operation by the design and installation of balise along track at station platforms; and
- Undertaking various other signalling and civil works and platform extensions to enable altered NIF train operations at platforms.
The project footprint is network wide and much of the construction work is conducted during possessions as well as outside of possessions.
