Tender Details

The Intertrade Site is part of the former BHP Steelworks Site in Mayfield, Newcastle NSW and is a declared contaminated site under the Contaminated Land Management Act.

The proposed work scope is described in the accompanying contract documents, and includes but is not limited to major civil works involving earthworks and land forming, demolition of underground structures and services, provision of suitable materials and forming of capping layers, some associated drainage and stabilisation works, some significant stormwater structures, and other tasks all within detailed and comprehensive environmental, WHS and quality management requirements, with extensive reporting, geochemical and geotechnical monitoring and other obligations culminating in the requirement for the Contractor to provide Validation Report documentation of the remediation works to the satisfaction of the Site Auditor, to meet the contract requirements and satisfy the Principal’s objectives of meeting the relevant requirements of Voluntary Management Plan (VMP) 20141706 as amended and relevant project approval conditions and other authority requirements.
