The Project Manager Contractor is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial management of the NSW Government investment to support growing tourism through delivery of the Hawkesbury DMP. The position is responsible for development and delivery of the DMP and Action Plans focused on the following key strategic imperatives; destination marketing, event development, destination development and stakeholder engagement. This is for key stakeholders and the tourism industry within the region.
Specifically, the service requires:
1. Strategy development, implementation and evaluation including:
a. Leading the development, implementation and evaluation of the Strategy and Action Plans.
b. Alignment of Strategy and Action Plans to state and local tourism plans.
2. Relationship management and collaboration including:
a. Superior ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships and strategic alliances with diverse groups of stakeholders and agencies.
b. Superior communication, conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills.
c. Proven ability to lead and manage change.
3. Operational management (including reporting):
a. Superior project management skills, managing varied deliverables and timelines.
