Tender Details
Registrations are now open for relevant entities to participate in the Sydney Metro City & Southwest market sounding.
The Sydney Metro Delivery Office is currently in the process of determining the delivery strategy and project scope that is most likely to achieve the project objectives, including providing the greatest value for money for the people of NSW.
The delivery strategy will include how the project will be taken to market in terms of contract packaging, methodology and sequencing, timing, duration, operations, funding and risk allocation.
The market sounding process is fundamental to determining the delivery strategy. This will include engaging with and obtaining meaningful input from a representative sample of leaders from key market sectors.
While not part of a formal procurement process, the market sounding will be conducted in a structured manner. Participation in the market sounding process is encouraged but is entirely voluntary. Participation or non-participation in the market sounding will not advantage, disadvantage or preclude any appropriately skilled, experienced or qualified entity from participating in latter phases of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest project.
Relevant entities may include representatives from the following market sectors:
- major industry groups with the potential of delivering the whole project (e.g. consortia or major multi-national corporations);
- civil construction groups for the delivery of the tunneling, caverns, station boxes, at grade and cut & cover alignment;
- construction groups for the delivery of the structures, station fit out and station precinct works;
- specialist suppliers –signaling, control systems, track and rolling stock, power, fire protection, vertical transport, ventilation and safety systems;
- entities with the capability of operating and maintaining the railway;
- financing organisations; and
- property development groups.
In order to participate in the Sydney Metro City & Southwest market sounding an entity must register using the relevant registration form.
To register, an entity must return a copy of the completed registration form and an executed Confidentiality Deed Poll by email to industry.sydneymetro@transport.nsw.gov.au.
Registrations will close at 5:00pm AEST (Sydney) on Friday 3rd July 2015. The market sounding is targeted to be held during July 2015.
