Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Solar Energy Initiatives at Various Locations - T17-19

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of solar panels ten (10) sites within Canterbury/Bankstown Local Government Area (LGA). This includes provision of web based monitoring and reporting systems for electricity data. 

Meeting the Clean Energy Council design and install guidelines is mandatory, hence, Council will rely on the engagement of a Clean Energy Council accredited designer and installer to deliver the works according to all relevant standards.   

This contract consists of two separable portions being Separable Portion (1) which includes nine (9) sites, and Separable Portion 2 which includes one (1) site being Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre.   

Canterbury-Bankstown Council is committed to significantly increasing the amount of renewable energy produced across southern Sydney. Council aims to using a minimum of 30% of energy from renewable sources by 2030, with the hope of achieving the following outcomes:  

1. Financial savings on the cost of electricity consumed at the premises hosting solar PV,

2. The reduction of carbon emissions from council business operations,

3. Demonstration of our leadership and commitment to renewable energy; and

4. Encouraging, promoting and directly contributing to the development of the renewable energy industry.

   A full description of the nature and extent of the services required by Council are set out in Section 3 of the attached Request. 

   Locations of all the sites are provided in Section 3.4 Delivery Location of the Services.

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Tenderers will normally be required to demonstrate in their tender that they have the necessary skills, resources, experience, financial capacity, and in some cases licences, accreditations, etc., to fulfil the tender requirements.

 A non-mandatory site briefing will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday 22 January 2019 commencing at Earlwood Library, William Street-Earlwood (UBD Map Ref: 274 C:4), then proceeding onto Lakemba Baby Health Centre, 33 Croydon Street, Lakemba (UBD Map Ref: 273 A:1), and concluding at Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre, 80 Rickard Road- Bankstown (UBD Map Ref: 252 A:15)
