Kelso Park South - Playing Surface Upgrade - T68-20

Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Tenderers for redevelopment of the turf playing field at Kelso Park South, Marco Avenue, Panania. The scope of works generally include installation of a new irrigation system and tanks as well as installation of a new drainage system and replacement of the two existing cricket wickets.

 The works are to include the elimination/spraying of the existing turf cover (by others). The Contractor shall be  milling the turf mat and using a rotary hoe to incorporate the dead material into the soil.

 Bulk laser grading shall then establish the specified design surface levels. The sub soil sand slit drainage and drainage collection system shall be coordinated with the installation of the new irrigation system.

 After the installations, a final laser levelling shall occur to obtain the design levels which shall allow for the laying of the new turf to take place. The works shall require careful turf establishment practices as detailed in the specifications separately attached to this document.

 The sand gravel collector drainage lines will take place after the turf is sufficiently anchored by new roots. Turf mowing and top dressing shall take place as specified during the works and maintenance periods.

Council will not consider a Tender lodged by a Tenderer who fails to sign the attendance sheet at this briefing, or fails to ensure that a representative of the Tenderer signs the attendance sheet on its behalf.

In the event that Council deems, at its sole discretion, that an insufficient number of potential Tenderers have attended the site meeting to result in a competitive tender, Council reserves the right to open the tender process to any Tenderer and waive the compulsory briefing requirement.
