Ferry Services - TfNSW2018/032

The NSW Government is calling for tenders from experienced, innovative and agile public transport operators to operate Sydney Ferries services. 

The Sydney Ferries network is the largest and most complex ferry operation in Australasia, and operates on one of the most iconic harbours in the world.

The initial term of the Sydney Ferries operations and maintenance franchise contract will expire in mid-2019. Accordingly, the NSW Government is calling for tenders from experienced public transport providers to operate the network for the next franchise period. 

The tender documentation for this procurement will be available through a data room, with access provided only to bona fide public transport operators that have formally expressed an interest in the RFT and returned the required documentation. 

To express an interest and obtain instructions on how to obtain data room access, please send an email to ferries@transport.nsw.gov.au using the following template:

“On behalf of [insert operator name], I would like to express an interest in operating the Sydney Ferries franchise and request instructions on access to the data room to be sent to [insert email address].”

TfNSW reserves the right to decline access to the data room where an applicant is not a current provider of public passenger services.
