Additional Details / Instructions

Having come together to discuss the ways in which the NSW government is already working to make public places safer for women at the Women and Safety in the City Symposium and co-designing the Women’s Safety Charter with the Greater Sydney Commission and Committee for Sydney, it is now time for Transport for NSW to take action.

As part of our commitment to the Charter, Transport for NSW has launched an Innovation Challenge – Safety After Dark – through the Transport Digital Accelerator. The challenge is a call to start-ups and innovators in technology and industry to collaborate with Transport for NSW on ways we can improve safety for women when travelling in our city.

Going forward, we wish to accelerate solutions through the Safety After Dark program and continue the momentum of the Women’s Safety Charter developed in partnership with Transport for NSW.
