Sydney Metro - Shadow Operator Services – EOI - SM 2019/021-EOI

Sydney Metro is requesting Expression of Interests from suitably qualified and experienced service providers to undertake Shadow Operator Services for Sydney Metro.

 The role of the ‘Shadow Operator’ is to represent the interests of the future Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Contractor by providing O&M input to the Sydney Metro specification, design and procurement processes up to the point that the O&M Contractor is engaged by Sydney Metro, whereby a handover takes place.

The Shadow Operator represents the perspective of the future O&M Contractor(s) yet to be procured in a way that is agnostic (i.e. does not favour any potential future operator) and to ensure customer and operational outcomes are assured through the delivery phase of the project.

The shadow function potentially continues beyond the engagement of the O&M Contractor for activities such as passing on knowledge, assisting the O&M Contractor, supporting Sydney Metro in managing operational readiness, and continuing to provide assurance on operational outcomes.

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service.
