Purpose of the site visit:
- Introduce the Snowies Iconic Walk project
- Enable contractors to understand the unique environmental and site issues that need to be considered in tendering for the construction of new walking tracks within Kosciuszko National Park.
- National Parks & Wildlife Service staff will identify and provide examples of some of the walking track construction methods to be used during the construction
- To discuss in general terms the seasonal and weather constraints and impacts on length of construction season in Kosciuszko National Park
- To discuss the alignment to be constructed this coming season (2019/20) and advise on future construction of other alignments
- Outline of timing of tender process
- Opportunity for potential tenderers to ask questions
