Tender Details
Opportunity Hubs are an initiative of the NSW Government Plan for Aboriginal Affairs – Opportunity, Choice, Healing, Responsibility, Empowerment (OCHRE).
Opportunity Hubs aim to achieve the following outcomes for young Aboriginal people:
- Increase school completion and participation; and
- Increase transition from school to employment or tertiary education.
To achieve these outcomes, the Opportunity Hubs will build partnerships between the school, employers, education and training providers and the local community to coordinate and match employment and training opportunities to individual students’ aspirations.
The NSW Government proposes to initially trial four Opportunity Hubs in NSW, which will be outsourced to external non-government providers. Procurement processes for Opportunity Hub services for Dubbo and the Upper Hunter were initiated in August 2013. This Request for Expressions of Interest relates to Opportunity Hubs services for the next two trial locations at Tamworth and Campbelltown.
