Government Radio Network
The Government Radio Network, including End-User terminals and dispatch consoles, is currently being upgraded to Motorola ASTRO™ 25 IP, Integrated Voice and Data. This will be completed by the Start Date.
The GRN consists of:
(a) a Network Operations Control Centre located in secure leased premises in the Sydney CBD;
(b) a Disaster Recovery Network Operations Control Centre located in secure premises in the outer suburbs of Sydney;
(c) 152 Sites spread across a “footprint” covering approximately one third of NSW, and 8 Sites across the ACT;
(d) 1005 Base Stations located at NSW Sites and 49 Base Stations located at ACT Sites; and
(e) a mix of landline and radio frequency links connecting the Sites to the Network Operations Control Centre and the Disaster Recovery Network Operations Control Centre.
Note: The current Government Radio Network Services Agreement will expire on 30th June 2012; therefore, the proposed Government Radio Network Services Agreement must commence by 1st July 2012.

NOTES TO PARTICIPATING FIRMS
To access the RFT files and to lodge a response you must use the Access PassCode provided to you by the contact officer.
To initiate a request for the Access Passcode you need to submit the RFP1002399 Access Application Form.
Obtaining the RFT Documents and Amendments
Click on the DOWNLAOD A SOFT COPY - Free link at the bottom of the page, use the Access Passcode provided to gain access, then register your firm in the system (if not previously registered), and follow on-screen instructions to download the RFT document files provided.
Lodging a Response
Your completed tender should be lodged as allowed in the RFT Document, however, it may also be lodged electronically via this web page.
As the tenderer you must be a current Registered user of this web site.
Click on the blue LODGE ON RESPONSE link at the bottom of this page, using the Access Passcode, then using your registered system Login Username and Password and follow the on-screen instructions to be taken to the lodging screen to submit your electronic tender response.
Electronic Tender Box Security
During the lodgement process all submitted responses are encrypted for security and stored securely in the “electronic tender box”.
All responses that are received successfully can only be accessed, decrypted, retrieved and opened after the RFT has officially closed.
RFT Response - receipt/confirmation
A detailed system generated electronic receipt is issued for all submitted responses files received successfully.
Software Requirements
To be able to view the requirements within the RFT you will require the following software to be installed on your PC:

The RFT also requires the following software:

Other requirements:
* Internet connection to lodge completed tender response
The tenderer is responsible for the provision and installation of the necessary software.
