NSW Self Insurance Corporation is seeking an ICT business partner with at least the capacity to compliment current in-house systems and remove a reliance on existing insurance agent systems to work with Home Warranty Insurance Fund (HWIF). The HWIF operational framework could change in the future so flexibility and agility is also an essential feature of the ultimate IT systems.
It is HWIF’s intention to implement whole of business ICT capability that would allow the systems used by the current insurance agents to be turned off.
The ultimate look of HWIF’s IT infrastructure will include:
• A system to carry all builder contact and eligibility data and manage the eligibility review processes.
• An online register of home warranty certificates as the point of reference for builders, home owners and certifying authorities to confirm cover.
• Validation of property address, builder licensing status and ASIC registration at the time of issuing cover.
• Policy issuance and premium capability.
• Claims management capability.
• Further developed data warehousing and portfolio reporting.
• Portal capability, allowing secure access to relevant information and online forms for all participants including agents, intermediaries, builders and home owners.
The purpose of this EOI is to identify an implementation partner for the core insurance platform, HWIF is also looking more broadly to identify an IT business partner with the capability and capacity to offer the following services in the long term:
· Technical project management.
· Hosting and infrastructure.
· Integration and data migration.
· Testing and verification.
· Configuration management.
· Training and change management.
· Help-desk and on-going product support.
· Management of the operations of HWIF’s IT systems.
