***Office Furniture Scheme SCM0771 extended for additional 3 months***

The Scheme Authority is extending the Office Furniture Prequalification Scheme for an additional 3 months until the replacement arrangement, Office and Education Furniture State Contract, comes into effect. No action is required from buyers or suppliers.

This is in addition to the 6 month extension that was advised on 29 Oct 2020.

As advised by previous notice, assessment of new applications to the scheme has ceased, however the scheme remains current.

** SCM0771 Office Furniture Scheme - Applications Closed **

Assessment of applications to the current scheme SCM0771 has ceased. We have recently advertised a new whole of government arrangement on eTendering; therefore, acceptance and evaluation of applications will not recommence.

The current scheme SCM0771 will remain in place until the new arrangement comes into effect. 

Suppliers wishing to participate in the new arrangement must respond to the Request for Tender. All notifications will be posted on eTenders. Provision of furniture to NSW Government agencies and other eligible buyers.

Furniture Manufacturers, Importers and Resellers are invited to apply to be prequalified under the Office Furniture Prequalification Scheme SCM0771.

The Scheme is for an initial term of five years (10 November 2014 to 10 November 2019) and was extended to 31 October 2020 in November 2019.

During the term, the Scheme will be open to accepting new applications. Assessment of new applications will occur on a quarterly basis.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      

Variation to the NSW Department of Education Office Furniture Scheme SCM0771: Extension of Term - New Expiry date 31 October 2020. Refer to attached notice under "Scheme Documents"

On 15 November 2018 the Scheme was amended to include the category Flexible Learning Furniture and to update the Scheme Conditions. New and modified applications for Flexible Learning Furniture will be assessed on an ongoing basis.

The Scheme provides prequalification for one of two Supplier listings:

1. Base Registered Suppliers; and

2. Advanced Registered Suppliers.

Current Base Suppliers wishing to upgrade to Advanced, must start a New Application

Prequalification Types

Base Registered Supplier List - for orders valued up to $100,000 (AUD)

Suppliers on the Base Registered Supplier List are approved to supply low risk orders valued up to $100,000. Among other requirements, applications must be supported with:

  • Credit report or letter from an independent accountant
  • Evidence of over 3 years in business and information about your capacity and capability
  • 3 Referee reports in provided template
  • ISO9001 certification evidence
Advanced Registered Supplier List - for all order values, including orders over $100,000 (AUD)

Suppliers on the Advanced Registered Supplier List are approved to supply all orders values, including over $100,000. Among other requirements, applications must:

  • Allow independent company to conduct Financial Checks
  • Provide evidence of over 5 years in business and demonstrated capacity and capability to service NSW Government requirements
  • 3 Referee reports in provided template
  • ISO9001 & ISO14001 certification evidence

    The State Office Furniture Scheme SCM0771 has been varied by the NSW Department of Education to include the category of Flexible Learning Furniture.

     

    Flexible Learning Furniture is furniture meeting the requirements and learning settings described in the amended Scheme Conditions. Suppliers with experience supplying furniture meeting the Flexible Learning Furniture Requirements and capacity to supply Flexible Learning Furniture in accordance with customer agreed timeframes may apply for prequalification.

     


    The scheme has been varied to include the new category of Flexible Learning Furniture and to makes the following changes to the Scheme Conditions and Scheme Documents.

    The Scheme Conditions document has had some changes, the changes are made to clauses 2.5 and 3.3 of Appendix One of the Scheme Conditions to clarify that clauses 1.2 and 1.3 of Schedule 6 apply to FLF Products (clause 1.1 of Schedule 6 does not apply).

    Due to staff addressing sourcing issues in light of COVID-19, the Scheme Authority will not be reviewing or assessing any applications, that are currently pending, new or amendments to current applications for the Office Furniture Scheme

    The Scheme Authority appreciates your patience and understanding during these challenging times. A notification will be issued once reviews re-commence.

    SCM0771 Office Furniture Scheme Applications

    Further to this notice issued 26 March 2020, assessment of pending and new applications to the current SCM0771 is on hold until further notice.

    Applicants with pending assessments will be advised if and when assessment recommences.

    The current scheme will expire on 31 October 2020.

    The new whole of government arrangement will be advertised on eTendering. Further details are available here.
