Tender Details
As the reliance on ICT in healthcare continues to grow, NSW Health must ensure that the foundational ICT infrastructure across NSW hospitals and health services is robust and reliant to meet future needs. As part of this work, eHealth NSW has commenced a project, known as the Health Grade Enterprise Network (HGEN), to explore different options for the procurement and management of critical ICT infrastructure.
The current intent is to trial HGEN as part of the redevelopment of the Westmead Precinct, which includes the existing Westmead Hospital facilities, the new Central Acute Services Building and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
Within broader HGEN scope is cabling plant, wired and wireless networking distributed antenna system (DAS) infrastructure to support in-building mobile coverage and passive infrastructure, although the scope of the Pilot RFT will not include installation of either cabling or the DAS. The HGEN output will be the delivery of related services against a consistent operational metric.
An RFT is intended to be released in the coming weeks to cover the services required to implement the Westmead pilot.
Please note that any further market engagement as part of or subsequent to the pilot is at the sole discretion of NSW Health.
