Tender Details

Woody Head Campground is located within Bundjalung National Park and is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service.  The campground comprises some 94 unpowered campsites, 7 cabins, a training centre comprised of 2 houses, kiosk, camp office and managers accommodation.  Two amenities blocks provide ablution facilities for the campsites and day use visitors.

The Woody Head Campground sewerage system was upgraded in mid-2015.  The new system comprises an E-One pump pressure system connected by an approximately 2.85km transfer main to the Clarence Valley Council (CVC) Iluka Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).  The system, including all E-One pump units and flow monitoring is connected by telemetry to the CVC SCADA system.

This contract is for the provision of Woody Head Campground Sewerage System fault response and rectification and routine maintenance services.  The services are to encompass the full extent of the system from the E-one pump units, including the electrical control panels, and the two sand traps located at the large and small amenities blocks, through to the connection with the Iluka STP.  Timely fault response and repair or replacement of defective components to maintain effective and continuous system operation to prevent overflows is a fundamental requirement of the service provision.

The system design incorporates approximately 8 hours emergency storage capacity to cater for maintenance and emergency situations.  This is based on the estimated peak design flow of approximately 35 kL/day.  Flow volumes approaching this peak primarily occur during Christmas (Dec-Jan), Easter, and September school holiday periods. At other times daily flow volumes are usually lower and consequently emergency storage capacity may be sufficient for longer periods.
