Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / Registration of Interest (ROI) for Duplication of the Barton Highway from the ACT border towards Murrumbateman - RMS.18.0000303654.1157.ROI

Registrations of Interest (ROI) are invited from pre-qualified contractors with Roads and Maritime Services under the National Prequalification Scheme for Civil (Road and Bridge) construction at Roadwork Category R3 and Financial Level F100; and contractors Registered with Roads and Maritime under the Technical Services Registration Scheme for Complex Road Design, for the design and construction of the Barton Highway upgrade – Duplication - from the ACT border towards Murrumbateman.

The project involves the design and construction of the maximum length of duplicated carriageway from the Victoria Street intersection in the ACT towards Murrumbateman, NSW.

The project will be delivered under a Roads and Maritime Services Project Alliance Contract.

The successful proponent will be selected through a two phase procurement process. The first phase requires applicants to submit this ROI. A shortlist of applicants will then be selected from this ROI process and invited to submit a proposal for the work.

Prospective applicants will need to complete, sign and return the confidentiality deed (in accordance with the instructions in that deed) prior to being given the passcode to access the ROI documents.

Prospective proponents should also note that Roads and Maritime will be holding individual positive guidance sessions with interested proponents on 11 and 12 November. Attendance at a positive guiding session is not mandatory. Proponent wishing to request a positive guidance session must notify the Client’s Contact Person by 3:00 pm 05 November. 

 All applicants must comply with the NSW Government's Procurement Policy Framework (NSW Framework), Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the Implementation Guidelines to the New South Wales Code of Practice for Procurement: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines).

By submitting a ROI for this project you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016. 

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the project and must maintain accreditation under the scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out.
