The Northern Road upgrade between Mersey Road, Bringelly and Eaton Road, Luddenham

This is a Quality Assurance contract.

Qualified contractors are invited to submit a conforming tender for the construction of The Northern Road upgrade between Mersey Road, Bringelly and Eaton Road, Luddenham.

The work will include the realignment of 5.5km of The Northern Road around the Western Sydney Airport site with the construction of a four lane divided road and the adjustment of public utilities.

Prospective tenderers must:

• be prequalified with Roads and Maritime Services under the National Prequalification Scheme for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts at Category R4 for roadwork

• Financial Category F100 or higher

• Bridge Category - B1 or Higher

Further information regarding the work and the Invitation to Tender documentation may be obtained from https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/rms. The documents in the package will include preliminary drawings and lists of requirements to be met by tender submitters.

A mandatory briefing session for potential tender applicants will be held on Tuesday 20 February 2018 at Luddenham between 9:00am-12:00pm at a venue to be confirmed. Applicants who obtain the tender invitation documents will be provided with the full details of the briefing meeting.

All applicants must comply with the New South Wales Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the New South Wales Government's Implementation Guidelines to the New South Wales Code of Practice for Procurement: Building and Construction (NSW Guidelines).

This project is jointly funded by the Australian and NSW governments.

It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au.

Prospective tenderers must complete and return the Confidentiality Deed in order to access the Invitation to Tender Documents.  Completed Confidentiality Deeds must be emailed to Easwaran.Veeragathipillai@rms.nsw.gov.au.  On receipt of a completed deed a pass code to access the Invitation to Tender Documents will be provided.
