This is a joint Australian and NSW Government funded AusLink project.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice applies to this project.
This is a Quality Assurance contract.
Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at Roadworks Class R40. In addition, the Contractor or any Sub-Contractor will require prequalification K5 for slip-form concrete paving of subbase and A5 for Asphalt pavement. The earthworks and/or drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class E or D respectively or pre-qualified for Roadworks. The Primary Testing of the works (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with the RTA in Class L2.
This work involves general earthworks, drainage works, asphalt pavement, lean-mix concrete subbase to widen the existing freeway within the median area and other miscellaneous works including the design and construction of noise walls and civil works for a future ITS cableway.
Tenders must comply with the NSW Government's Code of Practice for Procurement.
A Pre-Tender Meeting and site inspection will be held at Eastern Creek Project Office, Lot 8 Pikes Lane, Eastern Creek, on Thursday 28 September 2006 starting at 10:00am. Attendance at the pre-tender meeting and site inspection is mandatory in order to submit a conforming tender.
Tenders are to be lodged electronically or in the tender box at RTA's Tender Box, Community Relations, Ground Floor, 260 Elizabeth Street, Surry Hills.
