Suitably qualified contractors are invited to tender on the construction of a section of the northbound and southbound carriageways on the Pacific Highway from Chainage 81,300 to 96,250 (Section 5). The Works, known as the HW10 Pacific Highway Upgrade, Woolgoolga to Ballina – Section 5 Landscape Planting, is for the supply and construction of landscape planting works on the northbound carriageway of the Pacific Highway from chainage 81300 to chainage 96250, the southbound carriageways of the Pacific Highway from chainage 82000 to chainage 96250, the interchanges at Yamba, Hardwood and Iluka, and the associated local roads. The works the Contractor is required to undertake generally commences north of the new Maclean Interchange and completes at north of Iluka Interchange. The Contractor must be a specialist landscaping contractor capable of carrying out all landscape planting and maintenance work until Completion. All work specified must be carried out by competent Landscape Tradesperson/s with experience in landscape construction and planting and supervised by your Landscape Supervisor, who must possess the NSW TAFE Landscape Trade Certificate or equivalent as minimum qualification. This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation. The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme at the time of entering into the contract for the contract work and while the contract work is being carried out. Information on the Scheme is available on the Australian Government website at www.fsc.gov.au. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded. Copies of the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines are available at www.procurepoint.nsw.gov.au and www.industrialrelations.nsw.gov.au respectively. This is a joint Australian and NSW government funded project. The Building Code 2016 (Building Code) and the Supporting Guidelines to the Building Code 2016 (Supporting Guidelines) applies to this project.
