Tenders are invited to undertake demolition works at 1877 Pacific Highway, Tomago from contractors who are experienced and appropriately qualified and licensed.
The site has a previous land-use history including the storage and processing of mineral sands by Rutile Zircon Mines (RZM). The site is now vacant and disused, with a number of dilapidated buildings and other remnant sand processing structures remaining.
Investigations undertaken have identified that the decontamination and demolition will involve materials with waste classifications including general solid waste, restricted solid waste, hazardous waste and special waste. A number of reports are available identifying the contaminants on the site.
