Tender Details

Suitably qualified contractors are invited to tender on the construction of a section of the northbound and southbound carriageways on the Pacific Highway from Stn 81,300 to 96,250 (Section 5).

The Works, known as the HW10 Pacific Highway Upgrade, Woolgoolga to Ballina – Section 5 Pavement Marking, is for the supply and application of pavement markings on the northbound carriageway of the Pacific Highway from chainage 81300 to chainage 96250, the southbound carriageways of the Pacific Highway from chainage 82000 to chainage 96250, the interchanges at Yamba, Harwood and Iluka, and associated local roads.  The works the Contractor is required to undertake commence north of the new Cameron Street Interchange, Maclean and concludes north of Iluka Interchange.   

The Contractor must be a specialist contractor capable of carrying out all the required temporary and permanent pavement marking, and installation of retroreflective pavement markers until Completion.  

All works carried out using specifications R142 and R145, must be by pavement marking organisations accredited to the “Painting Contractors Certification Program” (PCCP), administered by CSIRO, under the appropriate classes from Category B “Pavement markings” for Class 20, 21, 22, 24, 26, 27 and 25. The Contractor must provide evidence to the Principal that the work is being carried out by a pavement marking organisation holding PCCP accreditation. 

This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation. 

The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project.  

Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded. This is a joint Australian and NSW government funded project. 

 

The Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016 applies to this project. This document is available at https://www.legislation.gov.au/Details/F2017C00125. All applicants must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
