Suitably qualified contractors are invited to tender on the construction of a section of the northbound and southbound carriageways on the Pacific Highway from Stn 81,300 to 96,250 (Section 5). The Works, known as the HW10 Pacific Highway Upgrade, Woolgoolga to Ballina – Section 5 Spray Seals, is for the design, supply of all material and the application of the following types of sprayed bituminous surfacing as required under the Contract in accordance with RMS QA Specification R116: (a) Prime; (b) Primerseal; and (c) Seal or Reseal. The Works also include the design, supply and application of a sprayed bituminous waterproofing membrane (SBWM) between the concrete bridge deck and the asphalt wearing surface as required under the Contract in accordance with RMS QA Specification B344. Contractors must be registered with Roads and Maritime Services under the National Prequalification System for Asphalt Paving – Machine Placed (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts at: · Category A2 or higher · Financial Category F2 or higher This tender provides an opportunity for local industry participation. The NSW Government’s Code of Practice for Procurement (NSW Code) and the NSW Government’s Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSW Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful application being awarded. Copies of the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines are available at www.procurepoint.nsw.gov.au and www.industrialrelations.nsw.gov.au respectively. This is a joint Australian and NSW government funded project. The Building Code 2016 (Building Code) and the Supporting Guidelines to the Building Code 2016 (Supporting Guidelines) applies to this project.
