This is a Quality Assurance Contract.
The NSW Government's Code of Practice for Procurement (NSWCode) and the NSW Government's Implementation Guidelines to the NSW Code of Practice for Procurement for: Building and Construction Industry (NSWGuidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the NSW Code and NSW Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any response to a procurement process (expression of interest or tender response) and to any successful applications being awarded.
This is a joint Federal and State funded project.
The Building Code 2013 (BuildingCode) and the Supporting Guidelines to the Building Code 2013 (Supporting Guidelines) applies to this project. This document can be viewed at the Australian Government website at www.employment.gov.au/BuildingCode.
It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor should as a minimum maintain and demonstrate compliance with all the duties of a Person Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) and occupier as specified in the WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulations 2011.
Where directed, additionally comply with RMS Work Health and Safety Policies, Procedures or measures and/or the policies of PCBU at or within which you will perform works and services under this Contract.
In the event of any inconsistency between your policies, comply with such procedures or measures that produce the higher level of health and safety.'
Proposals are invited from suitably qualified professional services contractors to provide Independent Hydrological Expert Service as described in the Request for Proposal documents for the Pacific Highway upgrade, Woolgoolga to Ballina project.
The scope of work includes.
a) assist landowners in negotiating feasible and reasonable mitigation measures, which include required review/assessment of available models and data, consultation with relevant authorities;
b) review the concerns of local authorities, other government agencies and stakeholders and, if requested by Roads and Maritime Services, recommend feasible and reasonable mitigation measures which include required assessment of available models and data, consult with relevant local authorities, other government agencies and stakeholders.
c) undertake independent review of the work done by others to assess the impact on hydrology caused by the design including reviewing hydraulic models where required; and
d) post completion reviews.
