Tender Details
This contract involves the construction of the extension of Ellerton Drive from 10 Ellerton Drive near the intersection of Ellerton Drive and Old Sydney Road to the intersection of Old Cooma Road and Edwin Land Parkway in the City of Queanbeyan, NSW.
The Contract also includes the construction of a new six span bridge around 184 metres
long over Queanbeyan River. It is a Schedule of Rates and Lump Sum QA Contract.
Tenders are invited from contractors prequalified with Roads and Maritime Services under
the National Prequalification System for Civil (Road and Bridge) Construction Contracts at
Roadworks Category R3 and Financial Level F50, or higher.
The Bridgeworks component of the work must be carried out by contractors prequalified with Category B3.
The Pre-tensioned concrete component of the work must be carried out by contractors Prequalified with Category C2.
The Asphalt component of the work must be carried out by contractors prequalified with Category A1.
The traffic control component of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with Roads and Maritime Services at Category G.
The earthworks and drainage components of the work must be carried out by contractors registered with Roads and Maritime Services in Category E and D
respectively or prequalified for roadworks in category R3.
The primary testing of the work (including sampling) must be carried out by contractors registered with Roads and Maritime Services in Category L2.
The erection of formwork for bridges must be carried out by contractors registered with Roads and Maritime Services in Category F or prequalified for bridgework.
Erosion, sediment and soil conservation works under the contract must be carried out by contractors registered with the Principal in Category S1: Erosion, Sedimentation and Soil Conservation Consultancy Services.
Stabilisation works under the contract must be carried out by contractors registered with the Principal in Category Z1: Insitu stabilisation.
All tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government, NSW Government and Queanbeyan Palerang Regional Council the Building Code 2016 applies to this project. The code is available at www.employment.gov.au/Building-Code.
This is a Quality Assurance contract.
Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors at R3 Road works, B3 Bridge Works and F50 Financial or higher. Tenders from non-prequalified contractors will not be considered.
A pre-tender meeting, including a site inspection, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, 4th April 2017 at QPRC's Office located Council’s Administration Office, 256 Crawford Street, Queanbeyan NSW 2620. To submit a conforming tender, attendance is compulsory.
All tenders must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
