Tenders are invited from suitably qualified Contractors for the upgrade of HW10 Pacific Highway, Woolgoolga to Ballina Early Works Wave 1- Tyndale to Chatsworth Road. The scope of works involves soft soil treatments to allow the future upgrade of the section of HW10 Pacific Highway, Woolgoolga to Ballina. Wave 1 specifically covers two soft soil sites known as:

·         Soft Soil-05 – Approximately 1900 m North of Farlows Lane to Yamba Road STN 85170 to STN 85800 (630 m); and,

·         Soft Soil-06 – Harwood and Chatsworth Road STN 87250 to STN 90750 (3500 m).

 The Head Contractor / Sub-Contractor must be pre-qualified with RMS in following criteria, applicable to both contracts.

Head Contractor:

·   Roadworks Class R3 or higher

·   Financial Level F50 or higher

·  Compliance with NSW Government WHS Management System Guidelines for RMS Work and accredited under the Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme, established by the Fair Work (Building Industry) Act 2012.

 Head Contractor / Sub-Contractor:

·   Traffic Control – Registered in Category G : Traffic Control

·   Earthworks and Drainage – Pre-qualified for Roadworks or registered in Category E : Earthworks or Category D : Drainage, respectively

·   Laboratory Testing (including Sampling) – Registered in Category L1 : Construction Industry Laboratories

·   Erosion and Sedimentation Control – Registered in Category S : Erosion, Sedimentation and Soil Conservation Consultancy Services

·   Supply of Minor Steel items – Prequalified for Steel Fabrication or Registered at Class SM or higher

·   Demolition of Building - Pre-qualified for demolition X  or experienced with demolition of similar buildings

A pre-tender meeting and a site inspection will be held at a date, time and location to be confirmed. Attendance is mandatory to submit a conforming tender. Tenderers purchasing the documents will be advised of the full details of the meeting.
