Sydney Trains hires approximately $50m worth of plant and equipment each year. In 2009, Railcorp at the time created the Plant Hire Services division (PHS) to manage all requirements of plant hire, moving away from an externally managed service provider.
Sydney Trains has matured and are now looking to improve and increase the value of the service it provides to its internal customers. Therefore Sydney Trains is seeking information from potential suppliers interested in providing an improved or alternative service, to its current method.
Some of the objectives of this Request for Information are for suppliers to provide information on how their organisation can:
• Reduction in number of engagements
• Guarantee of supply
• Provide the highest quality of equipment – Latest technology advancements
• Increase the levels of competent drives with ongoing training programs
• Ensure ownership of equipment
• Improved safety & compliance
Produce a Commercial engagement that may differ from the current one (provide a range of equipment)
