Sydney Trains is issuing an RFI to understand what current contractors believe are the drivers of growth and innovation ‘beyond 2020” in order to develop a scope for a future RFP.

Sydney Trains currently operate various D/OOH advertising assets at train stations through-out the network with these assets being operated by a D/OOH operator. The concession arrangement for these assets will expire at the end of December 2020 and therefore a new arrangement from 1 January 2021 will be sought. At this time Sydney Trains envisages issuing an open market RFP prior to that date however this RFI is to assist Sydney Trains prior to that RFP, understand what the D/OOH market operators believe are the drivers of growth and innovation “beyond 2020”. The feedback from this RFI will then assist Sydney Trains (and TfNSW) in developing a new scope for the eventual RFP.
