Tender Details

St James Station is a state-owned heritage asset built in the 1920’s and situated in the heart of Sydney CBD below the city ’s iconic Hyde park. Within St James Station are four unused rail platforms totalling ~1,725sqm; and a network of underground tunnels that extend north underground beyond Martin Place and to the State Library. Sydney Trains is seeking EOI from experienced and capable parties (or consortia) to deliver an innovative world-class adaptive re-use project which creates an iconic new experience for Sydney residents and visitors and enhances access and amenity to St James Station. Key attributes of the opportunity include:

• Majestic underground heritage spaces

• Opportunity for long-term lease

• Gateway location adjacent Sydney CBD and Hyde Park

• Minutes from premier CBD attractions

• Direct rail access to Sydney airport.

• ~6.9 million trips originating or terminating (year to 30 April 2018)
