This Notice does not constitute any solicitation or set date for Tender by the Agency.
The growth in patronage across Sydney Trains and NSW TrainLink (together known as ‘Group Rail’) services is projected to increase significantly over the next decade, creating new and unique demands on workforce planning, coverage and capabilities. To meet these challenges and increase efficiencies, Group Rail foresees the need to transform its enterprise workforce management, systems and capabilities, with the objective of delivering greater flexibility, consolidated planning, operational resilience, labour and cost optimisation.
Integral to this transformation is the introduction of an integrated enterprise workforce management platform, which is the subject of an upcoming tender opportunity (Tender). It will provide planning and operational capabilities across capacity planning, supply management, scheduling, rostering, day of operations management and performance analytics. It is expected that the solution will be hosted entirely on the cloud, with the contactor offering all services required for the implementation, transition, ongoing support and maintenance.
Group Rail’s preferred model for procuring this integrated platform is through engagement of a head contractor for complete delivery and ongoing management of the desired solution. The solution may be delivered entirely by the head contractor itself, or potentially as part of a consortium of providers.
As an alternative to the preferred procurement model, Group Rail may also consider engaging suitable individual providers to deliver subcomponents of the desired solution, with the intention of appointing a head contractor to govern the overall relationship, delivery and management of the packaged solution. Under this arrangement, all non-leading provider(s) shall be defined as a sub-contractor(s) to the head contractor in the final agreement. If an acceptable head contractor cannot be established, Group Rail may opt to appoint this entity through other means.
Suppliers interested in participating for this Tender are encouraged to register on NSW Government’s eTender portal for any future communications.
All future Group Rail opportunities are published directly on the portal.
