We have the largest manufacturing sector in the country, a booming local population, and huge innovation potential in the new Western Sydney Innovation Corridor. Blacktown City is the geographical and logistical heart of this area. It is well connected by rail and road and strategically positioned for millions of people in emerging growth areas. But this growing student population is not well served by existing universities.
Today, Blacktown City has 18,000 university students but no university campus. Blacktown City Council has a vision to transform this: a modern, multi-faculty Central Business District (CBD) university, serving local and international students in one of Australia’s most successful multicultural communities. The campus will revitalise the CBD and support our large base of local industries.
