Tender Details

The works under this engagement include the detailed design and preparation of all relevant construction documentation to raise the existing spillway hoist bridge to allow the radial gates at Burrendong Dam spillway to be raised to a new fully raised position. Gates would be locked in place during the course of an extreme flood, and returned to their normal operating function after the flood has passed. The detailed design shall be based on the detailed concept design developed by URS Australia Pty Ltd (Final Report, Burrendong Dam Upgrade: Stage 1B –Spillway Investigations and Concept Design, August 2011). The excerpts from the report are attached.

The detailed design works for Burrendong Dam Stage 1B include:

·       Raising and shifting downstream the gate hoist bridge to allow the raising of the radial gates and providing gate locking devices;

·       Raising the spillway approach road;

·       Raising and strengthening the inlet training and chute walls;

·       Preparing the NSW GC21 Tender Document.
