State Water Corporation / Expression of interest for design, supply and installation of the automation upgrade of Murumbidgee weirs and regulators - SWCDoc11/11733

The automation upgrade will replace the existing PLC/RTU cabinets and control relays, but generally retain the existing instrumentation and actuators and their associated wiring and power supply arrangements. However, the contractor needs to undertake a conditional assessment of the associated wiring and power supply arrangements to determine final suitability.

 

The upgrade of the controls and instrumentation for all Murrumbidgee weir and regulator types broadly involves the detailed design, supply, installation and modification to the following equipment:

 

·         Design, supply and installation of a new automation system, including PLC and Local HMI, to control and monitor the existing items of plant.

·         Design, supply and installation of power supply distribution associated with the new equipment

·         Supply and installation of a new Controls cubicle, to house the new automation system.

·         Detailed design of the interface to existing field equipment.

·         Provision for an interface to a remote SCADA system to allow off site operation and monitoring of the automation system.

·         Modification to the existing electrical distribution switchboard.

·         Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) & Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)

·         Removal of equipment made redundant as part of these works

·         Provide Training to State Water site staff
