State Water Corporation / Chaffey Dam Augmentation and Safety Upgrade Environmental Impact Assessment - SWCDoc12/14658

Chaffey Dam Augmentation and Safety Upgrade project will increase the capacity of Chaffey Dam to 100GL and upgrade the dam to current Dam Safety Standards. This will involve raising the full supply by 6.5 metres and raising the dam wall up to 8.4 metres. In addition some roads and bridges will have to be relocated.

The project has been assessed as State Significant Infrastructure and the Director General's Environmental Assessment Requirements for the project have been issued by Department of Planning and Infrastructure. State Water require an EIS to be prepared and submitted to DP&I for project approval.

Mandatory Site Inspection 

A mandatory site inspection will be held on Tuesday 6/3/2012, at 11:00am on site at Chaffey Dam. Failure to attend this meeting will result in a tender being passed over.

Notification of intention to attend required by 2 March 2012.

Safety equipment needed is safety boots, high visibility clothing, long trousers and long sleeve shirts.
