Tender Details

Generally the works consist of executing all operations necessary for the Detailed Design and Construction of modifications to the radial gates and associated systems to allow them be moved to a new fully raised position and be locked into position.

The Works to be detail designed, documented and constructed shall include, but not be limited to:

1. Extending the downstream sections of the spillway piers for providing the anchorage for, and operating and maintenance area for the radial gate locking device

2. Modifications to structural beams on the hoist bridge

3. Structural strengthening of the radial gates

4. Supply, fabricate and install new locking devices and electrical integration of the locking devices with the existing radial gate control system

5. Relocating existing hydraulic pipe work for standby hydraulic hoist drive motor

6. Modifications to the hoist drive systems

7. Modifications to electrical and control systems

8. Development of controls software

9. Provision of Access facilities

10. Design Report and design verification

11. Construction Risk Management Plan

12. Testing and Commissioning of all aspects of the Works

13. Construction Report complete with Testing and Commissioning Report

14. As built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals

This is a pre qualified / invited tender process. Only tenderers that have already been invited by State Water Corporation may apply.

RFT Type

Pre-Qualified / Invited - Only those directly invited to tender, may obtain an RFT for the purpose of lodging a tender response. Generally an invitation from a pre-qualified register of approved tenderers who have the ability to undertake the particular work or type of work proposed, a limited number of service providers are known to carry out the work or service (or in emergency or other restricted situations). Tenderers have usually been pre-qualified, accredited, or selected for the type of work and financial range. Competitive bids called from a standing offer (panel / period) contracts would also use this type.

Conditions for Participation

There is a mandatory pre-tender site meeting/workshop to be held at Wyangala Dam on 29 June 2010.

Tenders submitted by tenderers who fail to attend will be passed over.
